In September 2020, we will start a “demonstration project for the practical application of ships equipped with high-power fuel cells.”

Development of a ship equipped with Fuel Cell:

Demonstration operation involving the supply of hydrogen fuel is the first initiative in Japan.

By using FC as a power source, it will be possible to reduce Greenhouse Gas and GHG emissions during voyage by 100%.

Development schedule:

We will develop a high-power FC-equipped vessel equivalent to the 150-ton class (passenger capacity of about 100), which is the shape of a medium-sized tourist vessel.

2024
We aim to demonstrate FC-equipped vessels that supply hydrogen fuel.

September 2020
Started a feasibility study on FC-equipped vessels and hydrogen fuel supply
2021
Started designing the ship and supply equipment.
2023
Construction and production will begin, and demonstration operations are scheduled to begin on the coast of Yokohama Port in 2024.
