Tsuburaya Wins U.S. Appeal over Ultraman Rights
Tokyo, Dec. 10 (Jiji Press)–
Tsuburaya Productions Co.
said Tuesday that a California appeals court has ruled that the company possesses rights for its “Ultraman” Japanese superhero television series and characters outside Japan.
The Japanese production company
said that the decision, handed down on Thursday, came after domestic rival UM Corp. appealed a district court ruling issued in April last year in favor of Tsuburaya.
