Kyocera: Commercializes silicon MEMS resonator: Tikitin Oy, Doping technology

Kyocera: Tikitin Oy

Kyocera has established its own technology for commercializing silicon MEMS resonators. ,

We will enter the silicon MEMS market in the future.

Silicon MEMS Resonators: Commercialization Technology

Kyocera made Finland / Tikitin Oy, which has its own device design and doping technology, a wholly owned subsidiary in July 2019.

KYOCERA Tikitin Oy’s advanced technology has been used to establish a product commercialization technology.

Overview of new technologies:

“Frequency temperature characteristics and ESR characteristics that cannot be achieved with existing quartz and silicon products” have been achieved.

Timing Devices: Importance

The timing device “outputs a stable frequency at regular intervals and controls the electronic circuit” to operate the electronic equipment correctly.

Timing devices: growth potential

Spread of IoT,
Spread of wearable devices,
With the acceleration of ADAS / EV in the automotive field,
It is said that the market size will be about 500 billion yen annually around 2030.

Timing devices: improved performance

Further miniaturization,
Realization of high frequency,
High temperature resistance is required.
Switching to silicon MEMS resonators will make even greater progress to achieve these.
