Turkey (OSD): 2018 Vehicle production volume – Increase in Export

Turkey car production volume in 2018 (see Table 1)
Overall: 1,550,150 units down 8.6% from the previous year
Passenger car: 1,026,461 units down 10.2% from the previous year
Completed car export: (see Table 2)
Decreased by 1.0% to 1,318,869 units, both production and exports fell below the previous year.
As a result, the ratio of export cars to production increased from 78.6% in the previous year to 85.1%.
Honda announced on February 19 that production of finished vehicles in Europe will end, and Honda and Turkey will end production of “Civic · Sedan” within 2021 as well as in the UK.
