Research company Delogier / Automotive / Consultant:
On January 31st announced the production volume of cars in 2018.
Canadian car production in 2018 was 1,999,929 units (8.1% down from the previous year) (see table)
Automobile production rankings:
1st place FCA: 5.4% decrease, leading to the first place.
2nd place Toyota: It was the 3rd consecutive year leader until the previous year. 13.0% decrease
3rd place Honda: Increase production volume, only keeping third place following last year
General Motors (GM) fell 15.1%:
Production of “GMC Terrain (Ontario State Ingersoll)” to Mexico,
“Buick Regal (Oshawa Plant)” Production to Germany
Having been transferred affected.
