On January 15, Canada announced the new car sales in 2018.
New car sales unit:
It decreased by 2.6% from the previous year to 198, 4,992 units.
By manufacturer:
First place: Ford fell 3.4%
Second place: GM decreased by 4.8%
Maintain ranking from previous year (see table)
3rd place: Toyota recorded 3.2% increase in record sales
4th: FCA declined 15.8% to fourth place
Japanese manufacturer:
Mitsubishi Motors (up 11.1%)
Subaru (up 6.4%)
Nissan (up 1.7%)
Honda (down 0.9%)
Mazda (down 0.3%)
Total unit sales of 6 Japanese manufacturers
Recorded record high for the fifth consecutive year with 733,318 units.
The share in Canada is 36.9% from 35.3% in the previous year.
