Romania (APIA): New car sales in 2018 – 21.4% increase, 2nd-hand cars also high level

Romania domestic sales

Romania domestic sales of 2018 new cars increased by 21.4% to 158,268 units.

Production volume (see Table 1)

increased by 31.1% to 476,769 units, the highest growth over the past 10 years.

Two domestic completed car manufacturers:

Dacia: 6.8% increase at 335,262 units,

Ford ：141, 507 units tripled.

In 2018, the fact that the production of the new SUV was started increases.

New car sales share by brand (see Table 2)

1st place: Dacia (Domestic car under the umbrella of Renault),

Volkswagen (VW),

Skoda (Czech Republic: umbrella of VW),

Renault,

Followed with Ford (see Table 2)
