Komatsu: Developing an EV mini-excavator-Munich Trade Fair “bauma 2019”
Komatsu:
On April 8, the company exhibited its battery-powered mini-excavator for the first time at the bamu 2019, a construction equipment market in Munich, Germany.
EV mini shovel:
Equipped with “newly developed charger and high voltage conversion unit” based on hybrid construction technology.
Drilling performance:
- Excavation performance equivalent to engine cars
- Achieves a significant reduction of “zero exhaust gas” and noise
- Adopts Easy Maintenance Battery, which is already in mass production
- Approximately 2 hours to 6 hours on full charge
Power consumption: Charge status
The on-board monitor and KOMTRAX enable remote confirmation of location and operation status.
Testing is underway at the actual construction site, aiming for early market introduction.
