Working with the US Department of Energy’s (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL).
Partnership to develop megawatt-class fuel cell system.

Toyota and NREL will conduct joint research for $6.5 million over three years.
At the NREL site in Albada, Colorado,
Construct, install and evaluate a 1 MW stationary fuel cell system.
It will be installed in the summer of 2022 and will be operational in the second half of the same year.
