South Korea: “Deep regret” in IOC reply: Map of Japan

Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism:
On the map of Japan on the official website of the Tokyo Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games,
Protested that Dokdo was displayed.
Answer from the IOC:
On June 25, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) replied to South Korea.
South Korea expressed deep regret in the IOC’s reply.
“I will send a letter to the IOC again stating Korea’s position,” he said.
IOC View:
The IOC contacted the Tokyo Olympic Games Organizing Committee.
As a result, Dokdo displayed on the map is merely a topographical representation.
“It was confirmed that there was no political intention,” he told the South Korean side.
The IOC has indicated that it does not care about Dokdo labeling.
I was very disappointed with “Japan’s attitude of refusing to remove Dokdo from the map.”
