According to a press release from Oishii Farm

Oishii Farm and Yaskawa Electric:

On May 30, 2023, we announced a capital and business alliance for the full automation of plant factories.

Robots at Oishii Farm

Through collaboration between Oishii Farm and Yaskawa Electric, we will realize a fully automated plant factory.

Scale up the business to a global scale through production cost reduction and stable production.

It enables more sustainable agricultural production.

Opened “Mugen Farm”:

Oishii Farm will open 74,000 square feet of the world’s largest strawberry factory “Mugen Farm” in May 2022.

The farm uses 60% less energy and 40% less water than the earlier farm.

A combination of Yaskawa Electric’s cutting-edge technology and Oishii Farm’s crop management and environmental control system.

Realize sustainable agriculture by reducing waste of crops, energy and water.

A new standard for global agriculture:

Oishii Farm makes full use of Japanese seedlings and agricultural technology.

We have developed a technology that enables mass production of strawberries all year round with limited land and resources and without the use of pesticides.

In June 2022, we realized a lower price due to the larger scale of the plant factory.

Sold at Whole Foods:

In the past, it was served to Michelin-starred restaurants.

This time, it is now on sale at American high-end supermarket “Whole Foods”.
