Realization of reinforcement learning which is an important issue of AI at ultra high speed using laser chaos.

Mr. Makoto Naruse of NICT, Professor Atsushi Uchida of Saitama University Graduate School of Science and Technology, Keio University Graduate School of Policy and Media Studies Associate Professor Kim Sung and others use light chaos (hereinafter referred to as laser chaos) generated from a semiconductor laser It succeeded for the first time in the world for reinforcement learning applying ultrafast photonics which realizes an adaptation speed 1 GHz (gigahertz: 1 billion times per second). It is expected to make a big contribution as a fundamental technology of AI and IoT.
