NGK: Compliant with 2025 Emission Regulations “Euro 7”!
– Mass production of next-generation exhaust gas purification equipment –
Report from NGK Disclosure Information
“Next-generation exhaust gas purifier”:
NGK will mass-produce next-generation exhaust gas purification equipment by 2025.
It incorporates a newly developed electrically heated catalyst (EHC).
By preheating the catalyst with electric power, it is possible to purify low-temperature exhaust gas after starting the engine.

Compliant with exhaust gas regulation “Euro 7”:
It will be required to comply with the “Emissions Regulation Euro 7” to be introduced in Europe in 2025.
Demand is expanding for HVs equipped with internal combustion engines.

NGK’s exhaust gas purification system:
The catalyst is held in a “ceramic carrier called HONEYCERAM”.
There are countless holes in the cylindrical HONEYCERAM.
Hazardous substances are rendered harmless through chemical reactions as the exhaust gas passes through.

NGK exhibition at Carbon Capture Technology Expo Exhibitor products:
NGK will introduce Honeycomb ceramics substrates used as a key component for DAC systems and Sub-nano ceramic membranes used for CO2-EOR or H2 separation processes.

NGK’s thin-wall Honeycomb ceramics substrates :
Honeycomb ceramics substrates have low pressure loss and high specific surface area.
In addition, NGK can coordinate the thermal capacity, cell structure/pore microstructure and durability.

Sub-nano ceramic membranes :
Sub-nano ceramic membranesare formed using a thin, defect-free separation layer applied onto the Honeycomb ceramics substrates to achieve a more accurate gas separation with high efficiency.
