Tokyo, Sept. 25 (Jiji Press)–Japanese nonbank moneylender J.Score Co., which conducts screenings of borrowers using artificial intelligence, said Monday that the firm, a fifty-fifty joint venture between Mizuho Bank and mobile phone carrier Softbank Group Corp. <9984>, started loan services for individuals the same day.
The company asks customers up to about 170 questions online, including annual income, family structure and education history, to measure the levels of their credibility and set loan interest rates. JIJI PRESS
