Mitsui Fudosan, Asahi Kasei Skip Condo Scandal in Earnings Estimates
Tokyo, Nov. 6 (Jiji Press)–Mitsui Fudosan Co. <8801> and Asahi Kasei Corp. <3407> on Friday announced their earnings estimates for the current business year to next March without fully taking into account the impact of an unfolding condominium data falsification scandal.
Both companies said it is difficult to make rational estimates at the moment on the effects of the scandal, which involves condominiums sold by Mitsui Fudosan Residential Co., a Mitsui Fudosan subsidiary, and centers on Asahi Kasei Construction Materials, an Asahi Kasei unit that falsified piling work data.
