JTEKT is compliant with the European Union (EU) chemical substance regulations “REACH” and “POPs Convention”.
We have developed new vacuum and clean bearings that comply with environmental regulations.
1. Background of development
The list of restricted substances in the REACH Regulation has been revised.
From July 4, 2020, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and its related substances will be subject to regulation.
JTEKT has been manufacturing and selling DL bearings using KDL grease.
However, it was found that PFOA was generated during the production of this grease.
This time, grease that does not contain regulated substances will be used in the manufacturing process.
