On the 5th, JR Tokai announced new technology with countermeasures against frost on the Shinkansen.
As countermeasures against ice frost on overhead catenary, ice and frost (sticks) adhesion are detected in real time.
By automatically restricting the acceleration of the vehicle, developed a technique to suppress the occurrence of large arc.
Trial started from this month aiming for introduction in fiscal 2020.
