IHI: 99.9% Inactivation of Endotoxin-New Gas Sterilization for Regenerative Medicine

Successful inactivation of the world’s first endotoxin 99.9% or more in low-temperature sterilization in the field of regenerative medicine

IHI: National Institute of Health Sciences

We have developed a new gas sterilization method using accelerated oxidation, which can be used in the fields of medicine and medicine.

New gas sterilization method:

The sterilization method is the world’s first revolutionary technology in the sterilization of equipment used in the field of regenerative medicine.

Conventional sterilization methods have not been able to fully inactivate the pyrogenic substance called endotoxin (which is included in the morgue of the fungus).

With the new gas sterilization method, it is possible to inactivate 99.9% or more simultaneously with sterilization.

The features of the new sterilization method are as follows.

IHI’s proprietary oxidation technology

Processing time has been reduced by up to 1/3 compared to conventional methods.

The amount of hydrogen peroxide used is reduced to 1/3.

Minimize the effects on the object (drug residue, toxicity due to drug residue).

sterilization of endotoxin

With conventional sterilization methods, endotoxin can not be fully inactivated.

In this sterilization method, endotoxin can be inactivated 99.9% or more simultaneously with sterilization.
