Inactivation of bacteria such as Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus and influenza virus and norovirus has been verified.

Conventional products: UV and mercury lamps
Conventionally, UV and mercury lamps have been used in medical germicidal lamps.
UV lamps have a short life and are easily broken.
Production and import / export of lighting using mercury are prohibited under the international regulation “Minamata Convention on Mercury” from 2021.
Under these circumstances, the spread of high-output deep ultraviolet LEDs is expected in the future.
