Germany: Automotive industry leans towards China: VW, Audi, BMW, Daimler
-Sales and production for China surged-

German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA):
On April 20, the German automobile industry released statistics on its Chinese business.
German car maker:
The share of sales in the Chinese market increased from 17.5% in 2010 to 24.4% in 2020.
VW, Audi, BMW, Daimler:
The four companies will produce a total of 4.8 million passenger cars in China in 2020.
It accounted for 36% of the total worldwide production of the four companies.

“Even in Germany, production for China occupies an important position,” VDA said.
In 2020, 253,900 German-produced passenger cars will be exported to China (9.6% of total exports)
Passenger and commercial vehicles:
Export value to China is 13 billion euros,
Exports of auto parts to China amount to 12.2 billion euros.
2020 ・ Sales by country Sheer:
China accounts for 30% to 40% of global sales.
2020 ・ Ratio by manufacturer,
VW (including commercial vehicles): China ratio is 42.2%,
Daimler (passenger cars only): China ratio is 36.3%,
BMW (passenger car only): China ratio is 33.5%.
Shanghai Motor Show:
VDA is fully supported by the German Ministry of Economy and Energy and the German Association of the Automotive Industry (AUMA).
Exhibited a joint booth of a German manufacturer,
18 German manufacturers participated.
