Audi: Mass production of MHEV started in Hungary: Audi Q3, Q3 sports mass production

Audi Hungaria:
On December 5, we announced that the Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback models with mild hybrid (MHEV) technology have begun mass production at a plant in Northwest Hungary.
The Audi Q3 and Q3 Sportback models are Audi Hungaria’s first hybrid vehicles.
Both models use engines manufactured at the Gers factory.

Hungary: Competitors
In Hungary, besides the company,

BMW,
Opel and others produce cars and auto parts.
BMW: Debrecen plant
BMW invested € 1 billion in 2018.
Announced that it will build a fuel and electric vehicle production plant in Debrecen, northeastern Hungary (see the article on August 3, 2018).
According to the company’s announcement, construction of the plant in Debrecen is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2020.
