Burial chambers of the Greek era: in the underground ruins of Naples!

ーNagoya University uses cosmic rays to discover new spaceー

The team “see through” the building with elementary particles flying from space.

Using special technology, the existence of a burial chamber space from the Greek era was discovered in the underground ruins of Naples, Italy.

Meidai and Napoli University teams:

A film “nuclear emulsion plate” that can record elementary particles “mu particles” from space was used.

A dry plate can visualize the interior of a space using the same principle as X-ray radiography.

As a result, I discovered that there is a space of 3m in height, width and length at 10m underground.

It is believed to be a new burial chamber because of “its size and the surrounding burial chambers that have already been discovered.”

Pyramid of Khufu, Egypt:

The team has already used this technology to confirm the existence of new spaces in the Pyramid of Khufu in Egypt.

The discovery was published in April in the British scientific journal Scientific Reports.

Near the survey site this time:

Several aristocratic burial chambers from the 6th to 3rd centuries BC have been identified. However, Naples is a densely populated area, making new excavations difficult.
