British Airways faces $230 million fine over data theft

British Airways

will be fined $230 million by the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) over 2018’s massive data breach.

Hundreds of thousands of British Airways customer’s data was stolen in the cyber attack, which was one of the biggest breaches of 2018.

British Airways’ owner, International Airlines Group (IAG), said it would appeal the fine.
