500トン/Tae Geuk級巡視船8隻のうち、6隻を引き渡しました
2016年、江南株式会社（釜山に拠点）と韓進重工業に発注しています。
新型巡視艇は、KCGの既存の15隻：Tae Geuk級船隊/補強の一環。
カンナム造船所で建造中：3隻のうち2隻（ペナント番号518と523）は、2019年7月25日と12月5日に引き渡し済。
今回､4隻（519、520、521、522）が、新たに配備されます。
According to the KCG,
the five hulls being built by Hanjin
are one-for-one replacements for 30-year-old patrol vessels in the 250 tonne and 300 tonne categories.
The eight new Tae Geuk-class vessels
are slightly longer, heavier, and faster than the first 15 of the class, which were built between 2008 and 2012.
The latest variants have an overall
length of 63.2 m,
a beam of 9.1 m,
a draft of 2.6 m,
a displacement of 640 tonnes fully loaded.

- the vessel can attain a top speed of more than 35 kt.
