1. Crude Oil Trends
Imports of crude oil in December were 14.76 million kl, 85.0% of the same month of the previous year, falling below the previous year for 2 consecutive months. Looking in descending order of import volume,
(1) Saudi Arabia (6.27 million kl, 89.9% of the same month the previous year)
(2) United Arab Emirates (3.62 million kl, 80.6% same)
(3) Qatar (1.4 million kl, 113.6% same)
(4) United States (0.98 million kl, 388.8% same)
(5) Kuwait (0.80 million kl, 70.2% same).
The dependence on the Middle East this month is 86.7%, down 0.3 points from the same month of the previous year, falling below the previous year for 4 consecutive months.
2. Production of fuel oil
Production of fuel oil reached 15.28 million kl, a decrease of 94.2% compared to the same month of the previous year, a 13 consecutive month below the previous year. In terms of oil type, jet fuel oils exceeded the same month of the previous year, but gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, light oil, heavy oil A and B / C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.
3. Import and export of fuel oil
Fuel oil imports fell to 3.24 million kl, the first time in 4 months, 99.8% compared with the same month of the previous year, down from the previous year. Exports were 2.92 million kl, a year-on-year decrease of 93.2%, a year-on-year decrease for the second consecutive month.
4. Domestic sales of fuel oil
Domestic sales of fuel oil fell to 16.43 million kl, down from the previous year for the second consecutive month, 94.6% compared to the same month the year before. In terms of oil type, jet fuel oils exceeded the same month of the previous year, but gasoline, naphtha, kerosene, light oil, heavy oil A and B / C heavy oil fell below the same month of the previous year.
5. Inventory of fuel oil
Inventory of fuel oil was 10.07 million kl, 111.3% compared to the same month last year, exceeding the previous year for 2 consecutive months. Looking at oil types, naphtha, kerosene, light oil, A heavy oil and B / C heavy oil exceeded the same month of the previous year, but gasoline and jet fuel oil fell below the same month of the previous year.
