Toray: Creating the world’s highest level ultra-permeable nanofiltration (NF) membrane

-Improves water permeation performance by three times while highly selectively separating various components in raw water-

Toray Industries, Inc .:

On the 31st, Toray developed an ultra-high permeability nanofiltration (NF) membrane with three times higher water permeability.

Maintains performance superior to conventional products for separation of ions and organic substances.

Toray pursued the membrane structure formation mechanism that contributes to improved water permeability.

Ultra high water permeability: Nanofiltration (NF) membrane

Successful formation of precise pore structure and pleated structure of NF membrane. This increases the surface area.
While maintaining superior selective separation performance over conventional products, it achieves ultra-high water permeability three times that of conventional products.

Use:

In developing countries, it is possible to use equipment using this developed product.

If introduced into water supply facilities, it removes heavy metals, pesticides and other harmful substances contained in raw water with high accuracy.
Even with low water pressure, water can be supplied to homes and factories without stress.
If this product is used for salt lake recovery of lithium resources, lithium can be recovered with high efficiency and low cost.
