Labor-management talks commenced regarding closure of production base in Meitingen, Germany.
Germany Meitingen: Joint production of graphite electrodes
The site is currently producing graphite electrode fittings.
After closing Meitingen in Germany, production of graphite electrode fittings was consolidated at the Omachi Plant.
European market: economic slowdown
Since the second half of last year, the economic slowdown has caused a decline in the European market / occupancy rates.
Labor talks have already begun at the Austrian Stig production site for a temporary return to work for a limited time.
