Hitachi Zosen has developed a new electron beam tub sterilizer.
The electron beam tub sterilizer is for sterilizing the outer surface of pharmaceutical packaging containers (tabs).
This time, we have introduced a proprietary / electron beam emitter and realized low cost.
Testing equipment equivalent to the actual machine is being evaluated at the Chikko Plant to provide samples and confirm performance.
Conventional: high cost electron beam tub sterilizer
The electron beam tub sterilizer consists of an electron beam emitter (irradiator) and a sterilizer.
The electron beam emitter (irradiator) irradiates an electron beam to sterilize the outer surface of the tub.
Conventionally, this is the most promising method for sterilizing pharmaceutical packaging containers (tabs).
Until now, the cost is very high, a big problem.
Currently, it is not popular not only in Japan but also overseas.
This time: New low-cost machine / in-house development
Hitachi Zosen is the only manufacturer in Japan that can manufacture both electron beam emitters (irradiators) and sterilizers in-house.
This time, all equipment was developed in-house, and production / running costs were reduced.
