US: November Japanese car sales: 3.5% increase, year-end sales strong
On December 3, six Japanese car manufacturers including Toyota Motor Corporation announced that “November US new car sales increased 3.5% year-on-year to 522,421 units.”
The increase is for two consecutive months.
The year-end sales season, which began with Black Friday on November 29, is off to a good start.
The weekend was one business day more than last year, which was a boost factor.

China: November Japanese vehicle sales : Toyota up 11%, Honda up 3%
Toyota announced on November 4 that “New car sales in China in November were 152,200 units, an increase of 11.4% compared with the same month last year.”
Sales of flagship cars such as the Corolla were strong, reaching a record high in a single month.
Honda also announced a 2.6% increase in November results.
Mazda also performed strongly, up 2.8% in November.
While new vehicle sales in China were lower than the previous year’s results for the 16th consecutive month until October, the strengths of Japanese companies were outstanding.
