On August 29, three stores were opened simultaneously in the center of Shenyang, the capital of Liaoning Province.

Opened in Shenyang for the first time as a Japanese convenience store.

In 2011, Lawson entered Dalian. This is the first time to enter the Tohoku inland area.

History of store opening in Shenyang:

I asked Mr. Atsushi Tone, Vice President of Convenient  (Shenyang) about future store opening plans (August 29).

(Question) How did you open a store in Shenyang?
(Answer) Shenyang is a central city that serves as the entrance to the Northeast region of China and has a population of about 7 million. In the market with many young people in their 20s and 30s, it matches the customer base of convenience stores like ours.

(Q) Who are the partner companies in Shenyang?
(Answer) Established a joint venture,  (Shenyang) Convenience with Shenyang East Deputy Super City, which is affiliated with logistics, food wholesale and Shenyang side food group. The investment ratio will be 80% on the Japanese side and 20% on the Chinese side.

(Q) What are your new initiatives?
(Answer) A “Japanese food special corner” was set up with the aim of creating a sales floor where the characteristics of Japanese convenience stores can be conveyed. A selection of confectionery and beverages, which are popular products at convenience stores.
