Pokémon Sword and Shield launch sales are highest in series history

“Pokémon Sword” and “Pokémon Shield” were released for the Nintendo Switch on November 15 and sold more than 6 million copies worldwide.

Nintendo says “Pokémon Sword” and “Pokémon Shield,” is the highest-earning launch of any Pokémon game ever.

The series has sold more than 240 million copies since 1996.

The Nintendo Switch

is the year’s best-selling video game console, and “Pokémon Sword” and “Pokémon Shield” will make the Switch even more appealing during the holiday season.
