Female officer: California mandates the placement of female officers on listed companies

California Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill (SB – 826) to require listed companies to place female officers on September 30.

The increase in female officers will contribute to the revitalization of California state economy and the improvement of women’s opportunities in the workplace.

According to a survey report (2017) on female officers of listed companies headquartered in California, as of June 30, 2017, females among the executives (3,645) of the 445 listed companies in the state The proportion is only 15.5%.
