Summer time: California state referendum – Support ‘change of daylight saving time’

On November 6, in response to the midterm election in California province, a referendum was held on the proposal (Proposition 7) asking whether the Legislature approves to change the period of daylight saving time (DST).
According to the New York Times, 60.2% approved and 39.8% against it passed.
The Legislature will be able to change DST after being approved by the Federal Government after obtaining two-thirds votes of Congress.
California has adopted DST since 1949.
