Japan to Send Relief Team to Disaster-Hit Indonesia
Tokyo, Oct. 3 (Jiji Press)–New Japanese Defense Minister Takeshi Iwaya issued an order on Wednesday to dispatch a disaster relief team of around 50 Self-Defense Force personnel to Indonesia, which was struck by a massive earthquake and tsunami.
Japan will send a C-130 aircraft of the Air SDF. The team will transport needed equipment and supplies to disaster-hit areas.
Specifically, the team will airlift relief goods collected in other parts of Indonesia to the severely damaged city of Palu.
