Mitsubishi : Chubu Electric Power, Eneco’s bid for sale: Preferential negotiation right

Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric Power will jointly participate in the sale bid for Eneco (comprehensive energy business development in Europe).
Today, we announced with Eneco that we have obtained the right to negotiate sale bids in the Netherlands.
In the future, we will conclude a stock sales contract through procedures within existing shareholders such as Rotterdam City and within Eneco.
Through the new company Diamond Chubu Europe B.V. (jointly established by Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric Power), the company plans to acquire 100% of the shares for EUR 4.1 billion (approximately 500 billion yen).
