The FEMSA group is headquartered in Monterrey, a city in northern Mexico.
On August 6th, we announced the expansion into Brazil in the convenience store business.
FEMSA: Raizen
Femsa Comercio will establish a joint venture with Raizen in Brazil.
Specifically, Femsa Comercio invested 561 million real and acquired a 50% stake in Raizen Convenience.
Of course, approval from the Brazilian competition authorities is required (permission will be granted in the second half of 2019)

Coca-Cola beverage bottling business
Managing OXXO, Mexico’s largest convenience store
Held 14.8% of Heineken Group shares
Has a multifaceted management.
Raizen:
Founded in 2010, Cosan and Royal Dutch Shell subsidiary invested 50% each in Brazil.
More than 6,200 fuel service stations are deployed in Brazil.
Of these, approximately 1,000 stores operate “Select” convenience stores.
Femsa Comercio and Reisen Convenience will invest $ 80.6 million.
Considering the establishment of 500 ‘OXXO and Select’ stores in Brazil over the next three years (August 14 “Reforma” paper electronic version).
