Ford: plans to set up an EV battery plant in Valencia-Spanish Auto Ind Assoc (ANFAC)

Spanish media reported on June 5 that it plans to start EV battery assembly at the Valencia plant from September 2020.
The new plant will supply PHV batteries (planned orders at the plant).
Transition issues to EV production:
The Spanish Automotive Industry Association (ANFAC) has requested Ford to “increase the number of EV production to 500,000 by 2030”.
Spanish domestic EV:
Nissan: Minivan “e-NV200” (approximately 6,000 units in 2018)
Mercedes-Benz: Commercial vehicle “eVito” (about 400 units)
The above two models have started shifting to the EV.
