Hungary: New car registrations in 2019: 15.6% increase over last year

Hungary’s new car registrations in 2019 were 157,906 units, up 15.6% year-on-year.

Positive growth will continue from 2010.

By manufacturer: Number of new vehicles registered (see Table 1)

1st place: Suzuki

25,766 units newly registered, gaining 16.3% share in the Hungarian passenger car market (January 27, 2020 article)

2nd place: Ford

Skoda, Opel and Toyota were second with a 10.0% market share.

EV: Number of new vehicles registered (see Table 2)

The number of new EV registrations in 2019 increased by 41% to 1,833 units.

By model: new car registrations (see Table 3)

1st place: Nissan Leaf has 453 units, the highest number of new EV registrations.
2nd place: 356 Volkswagen e-Golf,
3rd place: 223 BMW i3s followed.
