Singapore: Korean influenza vaccine, discontinuation: SKYCellflu Quadrivalent

Singapore has temporarily suspended the use of two Korean-made influenza vaccines.

The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) issued a statement on the night of October 25th.

In South Korea, there have been cases of deaths of people who received these vaccines.

Korea Disease Prevention and Management Agency: (KDCA)

On October 24, it announced that the number of people who died after being vaccinated against influenza in South Korea increased by 12 from the previous day to 48.

The South Korean government has stated that “there is no direct causal relationship between death cases and influenza vaccination.”

South Korean authorities have maintained a policy of continuing the influenza vaccination program.

Singapore Health Authority:

No deaths related to influenza vaccination have been reported in the country so far.

Stop using “Vaxigrip Tetra”
