Football World Cup: Russia Games Economic effect is 952 billion rubles – announced by FIFA

The Organizing Committee of the Football FIFA World Cup / Russia Games announced the economic effect of the World Cup of Soccer.
From 2013 to 2018, a total of 952 billion rubles (about 1.6 trillion yen, 1 ruble = about 1.7 yen).
This amount corresponds to about 1% of Russia’s GDP.
The breakdown of the economic effect is tourist income visited during the World Cup and investment in infrastructure · preparatory meeting for World Cup.
It is about the same level as the economic effect of the World Cup held in other countries so far.
In April before the opening, the organizing committee estimates the economic effect in the same period to 867 billion rubles (see the article on July 10, 2018).
