The joint research group of RIKEN (RIKEN) Biological Sciences Research Center, Differentiation Control Research Team, Osaka University Immunology Frontier Research Center, has clarified the pathway from which pathogenic antibodies are essential for defense against infection.
Our research results can be expected to greatly contribute to the development of new vaccines targeting the production of effective antibodies.
Efficient induction of the precursor cells of this plasma cell is thought to be an indicator of new vaccine development.
