Advance to India: Number of Japan’s affiliates, 1,441 companies (5.3% increase over the previous year) – Japan Embassy in India

The Embassy of Japan in India announced “the list of Japanese companies entering India” on December 18th.
The number of Japanese companies increased by 5.3% (plus 72 companies) to 1,441 companies,
Number of bases increased 5.5% (plus 264 bases) 5,102 places (see figure).
Both the number of companies and the number of bases are increasing steadily, showing the high interest and attention of Japanese companies to India.
By state, Haryana state is the most

Haryana State continues to be the largest number of 393 companies,
Maharashtra 243 companies,
Karnataka State 224 companies,
Tamil Nadu 201 companies,
Delhi Territory 162 companies
Even in the increased number, Haryana State has the largest number of 24 companies, accounting for about 30% of all Japanese companies operating in India (1,441 companies).

By industry, manufacturing industry is driving
Manufacturing industry accounted for nearly half, at 49.7%.
11.9% for transportation equipment,
5.6% in the chemical industry,
5.1% of metal products
20.0% for accommodation, food service industry,
