Iran: 2018 automobile production reduced by 40%-3 companies (Iran Hodoro, Saipa, Modyran)

Iran: Domestic car production (see Table 2)
Iran’s domestic automobile production decreased by 37.8% year-on-year to 955,923 units in 2018 (Iranian history 1397: March 21-2019 ).
By manufacturer: Production volume
The production numbers of the five major Japanese manufacturers also decreased.
Production volume of the top three companies (Iran Hodoro, Saipa, Modyran: 90% share) fell by around 40% compared to the previous year.
As a result, Modiran dropped one place and Kelman moved up to third in 2018.
Main vehicle type: Production volume (see Table 3)
“Pride” produced by Saipa tops with 138,884 units.
The Teava manufactured by Saipa is 136,809 units,
116,337 Peugeot 206s produced by Iran Hodoro,
The ranking for the top three cars was the same as in 2017.
