On July 13, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will make the first interplanetary flight in the Middle East.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries:

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. announced on the 17th that it will launch the H2A rocket No. 42 equipped with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Mars probe “HOPE” from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture at 6:58 am on the 20th.

HOPE:

Developed by UAE Muhammad Bin Rashid Space Center.

Omran Sharaf:

Project Director Omran Sharaf attended.

At an online conference, he said he would like to thank the Japanese side for their cooperation.

“It’s a strategic attempt to boost the development of the UAE space sector and aim for a new economy in the future,” he said.

Spacecraft:

The UAE will reach the orbit of Mars in 2021, the 50th anniversary of its founding.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries is pleased to announce that the launch of the UAE Mars probe “HOPE” will be carried out as follows.

H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 42: (H-IIA/F42)

It will be launched jointly with MBRSC (The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre), which is the Dubai Government Space Agency.
