NASA: Artemis “SLS” engine combustion test: Stopped earlier than planned

On January 16, the engine combustion test of the large rocket “Space Launch System, SLS” of the manned lunar landing plan “Artemis” was conducted.

Initially, Artemis’ engine fuel time was planned to be around 8 minutes.

However, in the test, the engine stopped in just over a minute.

NASA says it “evaluates the data to determine the cause.”

Combustion test “hot fire”:

The combustion test “Hot Fire” was conducted at the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi.

“Artemis 1”:

NASA is planning an “Artemis 1” spacecraft Orion and unmanned orbital flight at SLS later this year.
