KDDI: Use 5G for road construction work: Excavation, transportation, and rolling

KDDI conducted a 5G cooperative test with Obayashi and NEC in a part of the construction field of the Kawakami Dam construction work (Iga City, Mie Prefecture).
Remote control of three construction machines,
Equipped with an automatic operation / cooperate with vibration rollers,
Real transmission and analysis of construction management data
General road construction work was performed.

This verification test was conducted as part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications’ 5G comprehensive verification test.
Without the boarding of the construction machinery operator,
Utilizing the remote control system of construction machinery,
Work efficiency using sensing technology
