Kaneka’s crystalline silicon solar cells have been adopted in the roof glass part of Toyota’s EV “e-Palette”.

There is no wiring on the surface of the solar cell
With a design similar to glass for automobiles
High conversion efficiency is appreciated.

Kaneka’s crystalline silicon solar cells:

“Heterojunction technology” that combines “materials with different wavelengths of light that can be converted into electricity”,
By concentrating the solar cell electrodes on the back side
It combines “back contact technology” that can make the light receiving surface wider.
With these technologies, the conversion efficiency achieved the world’s highest 26.7%.
