We have clarified the origin of blinking aurora by observation of geospace exploration satellite “Hase” (ERG).
It was for the first time directly and surprisingly clearly that the prediction that aurora will be generated as the electrons shaken by the plasma wave “Chorus” fall into the Earth’s atmosphere.
It is expected that understanding of details and diversity of aurora and space plasma physics process will advance by investigating when and where electron deprivation will occur in more detail in the future.
