Movement to review supply chain:
Japanese companies are also accelerating the movement toward “out of China”.
The Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry will introduce a subsidy system for double-tracking Japanese companies’ supply chains.
It is a subsidy system for companies that return the supply chain (parts procurement/supply network) from China to Japan or move it to Southeast Asia.
METI Subsidy:
A total of 87 projects including large companies have been adopted.
Other Japanese companies relying on Chinese business are likely to have to make choices.
