🌐Japan joins NATO Cyber Centre in Estonia.
Japan is to become a member of the Estonian-based NATO Cooperative Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence (CCDCOE), Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has announced.
The announcement was made during a visit by Abe to Tallinn on 12 January.
Merle Maigre, director of the NATO CCDCOE, said: “Japan is one of NATO’s key partners beyond the Euro-Atlantic area and a globally recognised technology and cyber security power.
Joining the centre will be a concrete step forward signalling the commitment in cyber defence co-operation between like-minded nations.”
The NATO CCDCOE undertakes a range of research into cyber defence, ranging from technology, to strategy, to operations, and law.
